Last week Napoleon Perdis invited me to a Free Make up Session at one of their new stores in QV located in Melbourne’s CBD. As soon as I entered the store, the first thing I couldn’t help but notice, was the soft yellow ambient down lights. The bright red section on one of the walls with a Screen showing all the latest NP Products was an instant attention seeker.
The display table featuring the products was perfectly placed right in the centre of the store. The other wall was lined with mirrors and a few chairs and dressing tables for customers who wish to get their Make up done at NP. The store also had a few posters on the walls featuring current offers and newly launched products. I must say that, this NP Store was extremely well designed keeping the customer in mind.
I was greeted by Betty who was my MUA for the Free Make up session. Since I was heading out to dinner that evening which was a casual affair, I wanted a subtle and slightly sun kissed but dewy look. Dewy and luminous make up trend is going really strong this year and is perfect to take from day to night.
Betty started by cleansing my face and then using the Multi-hydration Gel cream product followed by Turn on Sublime Nutrition Face Balm and a Moisture mist. These help hydrating and preparing your skin. One must always use a primer before using makeup especially if you want your make up to last longer. Betty used my most favourite NP Product the Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer and topped it with an Auto Pilot Bronzing Primer. This bronzing primer gives your skin a healthy sun kissed glow.
I must say I was super impressed with the Personal Trainer Serum Foundation that the MUA used on my skin. Since I do not use a foundation on a daily basis, I wanted something extremely light weight that will not clog my pores. The Personal Trainer Serum Foundation was so lightweight it felt great on my skin. Mumbai 2 Melbourne highly recommends this product for anyone looking for light to medium coverage.
One of the best tip that MUA gave me was to apply one coat of mascara at this stage so that it opens up the eyes even before starting on your eye makeup. Post that she used a setting powder followed by a loose bronze powder on the apples of my cheeks. To give me that ultimate dewy glow, Betty used a combination of two of the shades from the Light Switch Luminizer Palette. Mumbai 2 Melbourne highly recommends this product. I would one of the best cream highlighters I have tried.
The MUA then moved to giving me a soft brown smoky eye and finished of with their China Doll Gel Liner. She gave me a soft winged liner and smudged some liner on the lower lash line. Another coat of mascara completed the eye make up. Betty used the Mighty Concealer Pen to conceal the under eye area and also soften the winged eyeliner.
Lastly she used a lip liner to fill my lips and finished the look with a soft nude-brown lip gloss. I was super happy with the subtle yet luminous look. I did get my hands on the Personal Trainer Serum Foundation as I loved how it felt on my skin.
NP also gave me a make up bag and their Skin Serum as the goodies for the day. I learnt so many simple tricks and tips on easy eye makeup from MUA Betty. I had such a great time. Thank you Napoleon Perdis for the awesome experience and for inviting me to the Free Makeup Session.
I hope you enjoyed the MOTD. I have linked all the products so, you can read more about them and purchase them.
Until then stay beautiful and have a splendid week ahead.
