Sinchies is an Australian owned business run by Mumpreneur Sam. Sinchies produces reusable pouches that are clear, eco-friendly and BPA free. These pouches can be used for storing and serving nutritious liquids, soft foods, sauces and salad dressings, sandwiches, and snacks. It can be used to store non food items for children such as toiletries, sunscreen, water to create an ice-pack etc. Sinchies being reusable are not only kind on the environment but also money savers in the long run as compared to buying the pre filled squeeze packs.
I received a 5 pack Sinchies Truck 150 ml reusable pouches for a review. However all opinions expressed are honest and unbiased.
Filling Sinchies was super easy. Each pouch as an expandable bottom with a zip lock. Using a collapsible funnel simply add the liquid from the drinking spout at the top and fill the pouch. Adult supervision is necessary while children use Sinchies, as the lid on the spout or cap are small parts. I made a smoothie using cacao and blueberries with Greek yoghurt for my son’s late evening snack. Filling the pouch was super easy. The zip lock at the bottom of the pouch ensures there are no leaks or spills.
You can store filled Sinchies in the fridge and in the freezer. Simply take them off the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature for a few hours before using. Sinchies can be used to make ice-packs and easily added to school lunchboxes to keep yoghurt or sandwiches at optimal temperature.
There is a washing brush available on Sinchies website which is ideal to clean Sinchies pouches, however a bottle brush works equally well. I used my son’s bottle brush to clean the pouch and then hung it upside down on the dish rack to dry overnight. You can place them in the freezer to dry too until next use. Cleaning was the first thought that I had, when I was contemplating reusable Sinchies pouches. However they are so easy to clean. Being clear you can easily see where the food remnants are which also makes cleaning them easier.
Putting Sinchies through the Toddler Test
My Toddler Rey loves his fruit yogurts and smoothies. Sinchies is a great product for us as a family, as we are always traveling and out on the weekends. Packing up Rey’s favourite homemade smoothies and carrying it with us was never this easy.
Since I chose the Truck 150 Reusable pack my son was too excited to try them. He is a huge fan of Trucks and Cars. My son loved the fact that he knew how much yoghurt was left in the pack and could see it for himself versus the store bought packs which are not clear. Rey managed to open the pack and drink his smoothie and enjoyed having a cool Truck pouch to drink from.
Mumbai 2 Melbourne Rating – 5/5
Sinchies pouches can be used beyond storing yoghurt, smoothies, jelly and baby food purees. You can store dry spice rubs or dips, sauces, soups especially while travelling or camping. It is great to store toiletries too which are perfect for international flight restrictions.
